I'm considering travelling North to purchase a used Hyundai i30 from a garage. Including VRT the same spec of car comes in around 4k less than in Dublin, am I missing something!?

Don't think so. My husband bought a car from an NI dealer at the weekend, even with 3000 VRT the whole thing was nearly four grand less than the cheapest quote he got for the same car down here. Sterling is good at the moment remember.

Maybe even cheaper to buy on the UK mainland.
