Sheep housing

    Well lads. first time posting here so be gentle!Long story short, I have two acres of good land which is currently not being used and i am looking at putting sheep on it, store lambs to be precise. i dont have a herd number yet.my question is what type of shed/ housing do I need to have in place before I will receive a herd number?

    You don't need any housing (well, I didn't anyway), just a pen in the corner of the field.

    Flock number will get you away but I'm near sure you need more than 2 acres and own the land or have a rental agreement for 5+ years other than that u just need a pen in the field till handle the sheep and must be fairly well wired. Herd number u need a crush and as u say I think a house aswell nothing fancy just some were till keep a sick beast.
