Studying in DIT?

I am thinking of going into DIT next year when I finish my PLC as it means I'll be able to go straight into the second year of Tourism marketing. Has anybody done this course and is it any good? Is the degree even useful?

What's the social life like in DIT? What puts me off of this course is the fact it says there's only like 35 spaces? Seems a bit small...I know the main purpose is to do your work and get your degree but I would like to socialise a bit as well :/
