Confirmation of mortgage form

Hi, I hope this is the correct place.

I'm having two issues with my recent mortgage/loan offer.

My parents gifted me half each for the deposit (parents are divorced)

With my loan pack there was a confirmation of mortgage form to be signed by both parents, got mums done no problem as she's in Ireland, but dads is a different story altogether.

He lives in America, and is saying no attorney will touch the form as the date for mortgage must be left blank, my solicitor is refusing to put "to be confirmed" on the date line as the day the mortgage is drawn down needs to be entered on that space.

My bank have confirmed this form must be filled in as part of loan offer.

So my question is, has anyone dealt with this situation ?

Apparently it's law in America for every part of a form to be filled in or it won't be signed/witnessed under any legal firm?
