Camel Spiders (or Sun Spiders) are the fastest spiders in the world. The Giant House Spider hardly get to half it's speed.

I was curious so looked it up. While the Camel Spider might have the record its not considered a true spider.

    I think it's a False Widow Spider.

    Thanks having done some research.
It appears there are many different types of false widow

    the three most common are

    • the rabbit hutch spider (Steatoda bipunctata)
    • the cupboard spider (Steatoda grossa)
    • the noble false widow (Steatoda nobilis)

    This is female Steatoda grossa.
