Paint chips on 131 BMW

I have a 131 BMW in a pearl white paint.

I recently noticed two paint chips, one each on the nearside and offside rear doors. Despite being small, both are relatively deep and have cut down into the undercoats.

I want to get them sorted before any rust/deterioration kicks in.

It's not something that I'm keen to do myself, as the car is in pristine condition and still under a 2 year BMW premium select warranty.

Should I approach BMW about this, or are there other garages who you would recommend to do this type of repair to a high standard?

    Thanks in advance.

The day you fix it someone will ram a trolley up against the door and do even more damage. Leave it as is.

You can't live your life afraid of someone damaging your car. You should have the right to be proud of your car be it a micra or Ferrari.

Is that BMW White three stage pearl paint? I hear it can be a nightmare to match if your to get bodywork done but maybe it's down to the skills of the painter. A lot of professional detailers repair stone chips properly. Might be worth calling to a few and see if they can help you out. They'll surely be able to improve it

That is my point. Maintaining a blemish free car is impossible in this country.

Minor stone chips are par for the course with any car I'm afraid. There's only one way to avoid it. Don't drive it. They would need to be very deep for rust to be a concern tbh - they'd need to be right down to the metal, which would be unusual enough. Most stone chips don't go past the primer.
You could get a little touch up stick from the dealers (in the correct colour of course) and with a fine artist brush you get it so that it would only be noticeable if up very close.

Minor scratches don't desperately bother me, that's life.

But right now I've got two paint chips that are fairly deep, potentially down to base metal. I want to seal them up and prevent any rusting etc.

Yes, I believe it's that type of paint. Any recommendations for professional detailers? I know the BMW dealer will probably do it, but I haven't approached them for a quote yet.
