Hi Guys, Quick question, please? My NCT is currently out of date and I passed by a Garda Speeding (Gatso?) Van this evening. Do they detect the NCT being overdue and, if so, penalise for this being so?

Do they detect the NCT being overdue and, if so, penalise for this being so?

Certain Garda vehicles are fitted with ANPR, but I don't think it is revealed which ones.

ANPR only gives the Gardaí the information at the time. It doesn't issue penalties.
