Few new restaurants opened recently

    Basil - Asian street food (old Avenue place)
    • Had singapore noodles, delicious and all mains are €7.50 for lunch

    Cibo - Next door to basil, Italian
    • They do pizza by the slice, salads, wraps...I was impressed.


    The Boneyard - Tullow st, Smokehouse BBQ and bar. Cant wait to try it.

    I ate in Basil over the weekend with the kids. Service was quick and everything was really good. Kids loved it. Would definitely go back again or try a takeaway from them.

    Had a salad I'm Cibo and it was delish! Can't wait to try the boneyard!

    Had the pizza slice in Cibo.....with the jar of water too. Very novel. Happy with value.

    One thing.

    Cibo with a "Hard C" or K like Kolkata?

    Or "Soft C" like Cerise (Reddish-Pink colour)?

    Good thread, I didn't know about Cibo and Basil so I'll check them out.
    Not sure if Cafe 500 is deemed 'new' but I was well impressed by their pizza, pasta and prices. I don't think they deliver but would definately order and collect. Miles ahead of any other pizza in town IMO.

    Had lunch in The Boneyard yesterday. I got the brisket, it was delicious. I was there with a few people and everyone was more than happy with their food. Good to see places like this opening up in Carlow, hope it goes well!

    Café 66 is really nice- the Carbonara just delicious. I'll be back :pac:
