Basil - Asian street food (old Avenue place)
    • Had singapore noodles, delicious and all mains are €7.50 for lunch

Cibo - Next door to basil, Italian
    • They do pizza by the slice, salads, wraps...I was impressed.

The Boneyard - Tullow st, Smokehouse BBQ and bar. Cant wait to try it.

I ate in Basil over the weekend with the kids. Service was quick and everything was really good. Kids loved it. Would definitely go back again or try a takeaway from them.

Had the pizza slice in Cibo.....with the jar of water too. Very novel. Happy with value.

    One thing.

Cibo with a "Hard C" or K like Kolkata?

Or "Soft C" like Cerise (Reddish-Pink colour)?

Good thread, I didn't know about Cibo and Basil so I'll check them out.
Not sure if Cafe 500 is deemed 'new' but I was well impressed by their pizza, pasta and prices. I don't think they deliver but would definately order and collect. Miles ahead of any other pizza in town IMO.

Had lunch in The Boneyard yesterday. I got the brisket, it was delicious. I was there with a few people and everyone was more than happy with their food. Good to see places like this opening up in Carlow, hope it goes well!
