Renovating a kitchen

I hope this is in the right forum! Mods-Please move if there's a more appropriate one

We're looking at doing a new kitchen in a house we just bought-I know this is a far smaller job that what other people on this page are looking at but we just don't know where to start

We're not looking to spend a fortune on the actual kitchen and have some designs done on the IKEA website etc which we think would work well but we would need to have plumbing and electrics changed. We'd also need to have the old kitchen taken out, floor put down and painting done (the painting would probably need to be done all over the house really)

I suppose what I'm wondering is where do people start? My ideal solution would be that a builder would just come in and sort all of the removal of kitchen etc and would then be able to co-ordinate the other tradesmen to come in at the appropriate times but is this too small of a job for a builder to do?

I know people do this sort of thing all of the time but we never have so are pretty clueless!

All advice would be appreciated-we're on south side of Dublin city if that makes any difference to anything

    Thanks

    CF

You could list your requirements on tradesmen.ie and you might get someone who would be interested in the job. Can see reviews etc also.
