Just curious, anyone ever done this? I have no problem with trying it, but wondering how sellers react to receiving calls/queries from overseas? Of course, it's very much a case of YMMV but I'd like to know if anyone had received any negative reaction.

I think the experience would be fine providing your not telling them your paying by cheque, draft, Western Union, Paypal, a mate coming to collect etc. Be open and upfront with them from the start, should be no different to them if you tell them you will view it on X day and then have cash with you to buy.

Yeah, was planning on being open and upfront and offering cash or Faster Payments but the car is gone.
