    Hey guys.I have a question.
If you do medicine but only do biology, say you get your points (735) and then you applied for RCSI. And medicine is your first choice, will you still get in without chem? For RCSI chem isnt a requirement but someone said that they offer only 20% of the places for people who don't do chemistry. So confused

The 20% thing is not true at all. They accept everyone who has the points and the entry requirements.

RCSI medicine has two options - a 6 year programme and a 5 year programme. If you don't have chemistry you have to do the 6 year programme. It's basically just an extra year at the beginning to make sure everyone is on the same level heading into the 5 year programme.
    5 year degree programme
Candidates must present a minimum of 6 subjects [2 x H5 and 4 x O6/H7] in the Irish Leaving Certificate to include a minimum of an O6/H7 in Irish, English, Mathematics and a third language plus a minimum of a H4 in Chemistry and H4 in either Physics or Biology. Candidates must meet the above subject requirements and a minimum of 480 points in the same sitting of the Irish Leaving Certificate examination.

Candidates must present a minimum of 6 subjects [2 x H5 and 4 x O6/H7] in the Irish Leaving Certificate to include a minimum of an O6/H7 in Irish, English, Mathematics, a third language and one laboratory science subject from Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Physics/Chemistry or Agricultural Science. Candidates must meet the above subject requirements and a minimum of 480 points in the same sitting of the Irish Leaving Certificate examination.
