Plastic self-adhesive carpet protector

    Wondering if anyone has any ideas as to where I might source some self-adhesive plastic carpet protector?

    I would like to attach it to the floor carpet under the floor mats but up at both sides and to the front to collect sand/grit etc. etc. I have seen these at some stage on new cars but unable to locate any supplier.

    Thanks for any help / suggestions etc. etc.
