Hi There, apologies if I'm in the wrong section. I'm just looking for advice. I'm attending a assessment for a clerical officer position with the local county council. Has anyone got some advice and tips? I got a letter to say I will be tested on Numeracy, situational judgement, comprehension and local authority knowledge. I bought a course online and it covers example questions for written and numeracy tests. Is there anything else I can do to be prepared.
    Thanks in advance

The Public Jobs website has sample Clerical Officer tests. Google it and you should find them.

Local Council knowledge is a strange one. I'm not sure how they test that. I'd read a few websites on the topic to be safe.

Hi Everyone, So if anyone is going for a clerical officer in the local council I would advise to read the annual report to be able to answer any local knowledge questions, numerical reasoning was fairly straight forward. overall a nice test. Its a waiting game now.
