    Hi All,
Just wondering has anyone had any experience in buying off Made.com , I'm in the process of buying my first house and have seen a few peices of furniture on the website.
I won't have time to get to the UK to look at them, just wondering if people found where happy with the end product and happy with the delivery to Ireland?
    Thanks.

I have lots (4 sofas, 6 or seven chairs, lamps, light fittings etc); generally very happy with the build quality and the ordering/delivery experience. Note that the dates are generally for dispatch in the UK to which you can add on a week or so.

Be careful with what you choose and look careful to the type of fabric and it's composition. There are more polyester than cotton fabrics. Some can find these a little rough to the touch. For one of our sofas, it has been a godsend as it is in the kitchen and is regularly roughed up by a gilder retriever - the relative roughness of the fabric is sturdy in that context.

Thank you very much, put my mind at ease over buying now. Thanks also for the tip re the fabric.

Yes, I've been buying from them since they opened. First when I lived in London and more recently in Dublin. I had a sofa bed, side board, chest of drawers, dining chairs and I have a desk en route right now! Irish delivery is a bit slower but products look lovely and are well made. First side board is now 7 years old and going strong!

Thanks for the feedback, just in terms of the delivery to Ireland. Did you get much notice as to when the items would arrive?

Yes, I got a call a few days in advance and then again on the morning from the driver.

I have a few items including a sofa, all very sturdy and good quality. Try searching for made.com on ebay.co.uk to get a feelung for quality, when people sell their items you can often see candid photos and closeups of fabric etc.

i found delivery quite flaky, couldnt get a date for delivery, then it was delayed on the day and they told me they would charge me an extra fee if i didnt wait around till. they got there.also i thought most of the furniture was designed made in europe,
the things i ordered came from far east so maybe check where they
are sourced from if thats important

Thanks @bleary , that's the kind of messing around I was worried about. Given the majority of feedback has been positive I think I'll order one of the things I have been looking at and it everything goes well get the rest then.

Did you end up getting anything OP?

Tempted myself as some of their stuff is very nice!

Would be best holding out until the January sales?

Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone else has feedback on made.com as I am about 6 weeks from getting my keys and considering purchasing a bed from them. TIA

I recently took delivery of a large coffee table, two arm chairs and double bed from made.com. All very good quality, esp the coffee table and bed. Both chairs were not as soft to sit on as expected but that was always going to be hard to tell if you buy before actually sitting on them. I expected them to come from Europe too but they're made in Asia. They look exactly as expected though, pictures online are very accurate both in texture and colour so I wouldn't be overly concerned about that. If you scroll to the bottom of the page on the items you should be able to see pics uploaded by people who've already purchased which is handy. Be mindful of the colour in those pics though, some can be misleading. We bought a plum colour chair and in some of the other peoples pics it nearly looks red where in fact it was identical to the professional pics on the website. Lead times can be quite long too so keep that in mind when you order. I ordered Jan 3rd and the last of my items arrived this afternoon.

If you want links to the exact stuff I bought let me know. Overall very very happy.

Delivery is expensive to Republic of Ireland. £39 + £80 (yes, EIGHTY!!) for each item. We got around this by ordering to relatives in Belfast where it's flat fee of £39 for the full order as its within the Uk. Saved us £240. Also Google for discount codes before you order! We bought all 4 items in the one order and I found discount codes for £50 off when spending £500 and £100 when spending over £1000 so overall got all 4 items delivered for less than €980.

    Enjoy the shopping!

Finally got our order, very happy with the product quality. Long lead times is annoying - ordered in early January and received it last week. We got around the hefty Irish delivery by ordering it through parcel motel. Paid the standard £39 to made then parcel motel was about €20, got it delivered to the house. Would have been cheaper if we drove to the warehouse near the airport to pick it up.

Just cancelled a substantial order with these bozos. Items lost in transit from their manufacturing site. and now they say it is 30 days to refund credit card.

Waste of money and time - AVOID.

Only had an order made with them, in April; arrived on time, and I like the design of my products - so no complaint there.
Now I wanted to order something new, and just noticed that the transport is currently 100 pounds, where I think was 80 before (and the objects are smaller)...

Question: does anyone know if they occasionally have offers for free transport to IRL ? I think someone mentioned to me there is a possibility - but wanted to get some confirmation here.

    Thanks.
