Omega Seamaster Price

A colleague of mine pointed out a Seamaster to me at a mall yesterday... What's the usual price for a watch like that? I was a little surprised at the price, €3230 which doesn't seem very expressive (comparatively)... It was a simple black dial in a leather strap.

Sounds like that is about right as the recommended retail price. Cheapest I've ever seen one new online was about €2.3k

A mall? Where are you?

On leather they would be cheaper.

There are a huge variety from quartz (cheaper) to auto (more expensive), mid size (36mm I think and cheaper) to full size (41mm I think and more expensive).

I just expected Omegas to be more expensive... That's down in Tudor territory. They aren't a watch on my radar, so I've never paid attention to the price. But I expected them to sit a couple of steps below Rolex because that's how people talk about them.

Aye, apologies, my point was about an automatic full size on SS bracelet, co-axial, current model

They are! Infairness the. Oh standard seamaster/speedmaster are pretty good value and retain value fairly well.

Some special editions and limited editions (grey side of moon, snoopy etc go crazy then). Other are great value.

Look at the below, taking account of how favourable the exchange rate is....

I wonder will it be level pegging by christmas? Interesting times ahead for the retail sector here. At some stage though UK prices have to go up to replace stock, might be better to buy sooner rather than later.
