Hi everyone, looking for a bit of advice. Thinking about buying VW Golf Estate 1.2TSI DSG. It's 152 with 16000km on it, highline spec.
    Here is the add:

Not sure about the engine, is it adequate for this size of a car? I don't need fast car, just so is safe enough when overtaking...

Regarding price, is it a good deal? Very difficult to compare because there are very few of them. Thanks a lot.

In normal driving it feels more like non-aspirated 2.0. it's well able to deal with that car. And it's an automatic, it will instantly reduce the gear if you need even more power.

    Very nice find.

I've driven a 1.2 TSI (are there different versions/generations?) in an A1 rental once, and was very impressed. Should have enough power to cope with the higher weight of the Golf estate. I'm a big fan of the VAG turbo petrols, I think they're brilliant in terms of power to consumption ratio.

Give it a try, but I'd be surprised if you're disappointed.

That engine has a turbo and 110bhp so should be plenty adequate for driving once your not loading the boot down with stuff.

I wouldn't have any reservations at all, really nice car with a great spec. Golf estates have always been a left field choice, not for everyone, but a fine practical car, and with that engine/dsg a very refined drive.

Yes, ended up buying the car.
Very, very happy with it, engine is good, quiet, dsg is fantastic, very nice spec, loving the sunroof, Android Auto, adaptive cruise control is amazing. Still smells like a brand new car :-)

Saved myself 15k €, was ready to order brand new car if I didn't like this Golf. Good decision.

ACC is a game changer, only a short step away from autonomous driving.
