Commercial (N1 class) insurance tell us your quotes/ renewals

    Just wondering if we should have a similar thread for commercial insurance as for the private motor insurance thread?

    Your Age:
    Van type, Panel van, Car derived van, Crewcab etc
    years driving commercially:
    years driving total (including cars/vans)
    any claims:
    Price and provider:

    age: 45
    van type: Golf Van (car derived van)
    years driving: 5 years commercially
    years driving total (including cars/vans) 25years
    any claims: 1 claim 4.5 years ago but will be over 5 years in july 2018
    Price and provider: 670 euro allianz

    Im a professional contractor (LTD company) with 2 directors, its hard to try to explain to most insurance companies that i don't carry large heavy tools or concrete blocks in the back or even tow a trailer, i do lower mileage then your normal tradesman.
    the Van is used mainly as a mobile office than a workhorse.
    but its hard to get the insurance companies to make this distinction.
    or sometimes even get a quote because the van is not used for the "trade"

    has anyone got a quote from N.Ireland companies taking on commercial insurance for the southern reg van/commerial?
