Fitted new imersion 3 months ago and not working again - check fuse in switch and wiring and seems okay - could the immersion be gone again so quickly. It has been on at max of 2 hours at a time. What else could I check or do I need to replace ? Thnaks

Any other heat source for cylinder? Does your immersion heater have a hi temp trip? Have you measured the resistance across the elements? Have you had a history of elements corroding?

About all I can think to check.

Please follow site and charter rules. "Resistance is futile"

    +1 above.
If the element is blown again I'd definitely get an electrician to fully test from fusebox to immersion just to make sure there blowing it.
Are both immersion not working or just one.

There is just one immersion on cylinder - so one heat source. I do I check if high limit stat tripped off ? Thks

Do you have a bath/sink switch?

You have to remove cover, which is not recommended for householders unfortunately.
But a plumber or electrician could easily check.

    Firstcturn off the electicctrical supply.
Look down beside the blue thermostat there is a small round device with two wires attached. In yours it looks like the Brown and Blue wires are connected to it.
In the centre of it there is a small button. Use something to press down on this button and you should hear a distinct click.
This has reset the high limit stat on your immersion.
If you have a multimeter you should carry out a continuity test across the thermostat and the high limit stat and a resistance check on the heating element.
