This code is tricky, as it gives 30% discount from full price. When I added one of cards to basket and typed the code I got less than 10% effective discount.

Yea they have a sale on anyway at the moment.
When you try to checkout, it removes the current sale, puts it back to full price and adds the 30% discount.
You still get a decent deal from the full price but it stopped me from buying one.

would a cheap audio card be any better than onboard though?

I have a 6 year old mobo so maybe for that but would newer ones not be the same or better?
