Hows it going! Can anyone tell me, if one were to have a car they are not using declared off the road and its tax and insurance disc expired, but it has a valid and in date resident permit for it to park on the street, are there any laws being broken that could have it towed or a fine issued?

    Cheers!

To the best of my knowledge once it's on a public road you need tax.
It also depends on your neigbhours. I know some place and they'd kick up a massive fuss and report it and others they'd be grand.

The resident permit simply means you don't have to pay to park, the laws on displaying insurance and tax discs still apply, you could be towed away or get two tickets every time your local traffic warden passes by.

Mod. Forum is for legal discussion, but politely, pls. Remark deletedYou seem to think that the residenFt permit gives you some kind of immunity from all parking regulations.

Generally you'll find the reason people ask a question is because they are ignorant of the answer. There's more than one way to display staggering ignorance it seems.

If it's parked on a public road, then it's not off the road by any stretch of the imagination.
The clue is in the name!
