Flying Economy Dublin-Charlotte, Charlotte-Vegas with American Airlines. What can I expect in terms of leg room, beer, TV, etc ?

Been a couple of years since I've flown with them, but by comparison with DL, UA or even EI, they're probably the worst of the full service carriers operating direct to the US in terms of cabin service standards, IFE, food and comfort.

Thankfully it's not a particularly long flight to CLT and their domestic service is comparable to the other major US airlines.

You'll get info on seat pitch & cabin config on SeatGuru

I flew this routing last year with AA. Flight across the big pond to Charlotte was on a 757 so no individual TVs, I had a tablet so not a problem. Legroom was standard for economy and not an issue for us. Food was okay for airline food and they were liberal with alcohol. For the flight to Vegas, it goes from a nearby gate from the terminal you arrive. Everything on that flight had a price...

I think its operated by an Airbus 330 at the moment which will mean personal tvs and power ports.

I did Dub-Charlotte-Orlando this summer with AA. We had individual screens on the transatlantic leg with lots of films to choose from (touchscreen was a bit temperamental though). Food was alright. Legroom was fine (I'm 5ft 10). Service was fine although one stewardess was cranky when I went the wrong way to get to the loo, through a curtain and the section in front of me instead of walking back the length of the plane to cross over to the other side of the fuselage.

I went Dublin-Charlotte-New Orleans in May and I found it basic but fine. The tv screen at my seat did not work at all but I had a tablet and other stuff so I didn't mind. The food was grand and lots of snacks, I didn't drink any alcohol. Service was very good apart from on the return leg from Chicago. I'm short and couldn't reach to put my bag up into the overhead bin so eventually had to ask a steward to do it. She wasn't happy and was a b1tch for the rest of the flight. She even whipped my breakfast tray away before I had even got halfway through it. Service on way over was great though.
