Coming off Invalidity Pension

    Hi everyone,

I've been on Invalidity Pension for a number of years due to an on-going medical condition that, thanks to medical advances, is now more or less manageable. I have an offer of a part-time job, I see welfare offer a medically certified Partial Capacity Benefit, but I suspect if I apply for it I will lose my full  pension, free travel etc.  I want to work, I've always been active in something, and I volunteer a few times a week, but an concerned about finding myself in a worse financial position if I try for the Partial Capacity benefit and, given that I'm in my 50's, finding  any kind of  full time work may not be that easy. Is there any organization/body  anyone is aware of that I could discuss this with?

Best place to start is in your local Citizens Information Office.
