Flat LED Airtight?

    Hi guys,

    So these new flat LED recessed lights, They can be installed without need to cut large circle and airtight boxing yes?
    I imagine just cut for wire and its ok.
    These are the ones i am looking at.

    Also, What sort if watt would bee needed to have a strong light from them??

    Yea, So, what I meant, you would tape around wire, but the LED itself wouldnt penetrate the A/T

    those fittings are designed to go into a hole in plasterboard the air tightness would need to be maintained in the void

    A couple of things

    I would not recommend buying electrical goods such as your query from the noted website. Yeah you will probably get whatever certification you require but not worth the paper it is written on.

    LED's generate a lot of heat so with or without a decent heat sink the heat requires to dissipate somewhere Enclose within an air box, I would be worried about the heat build up.


    As for wattage depends on the required tasks at hand. Recommend you visit a few reputable vendors.

    Good LED lights don't come cheap, $5 for a luminaire, you will not love long time.
