Hi, does anyone know if parking sensor are covered by 3 years warranty as dealer claiming it's optional extra and covered by 1 year only. They asking for original receipt from the dealer but car was bought in U.K. And it will be hard to get this proof.

If they are factory fitted, they are covered by car warranty.
If they were fitted as an accessory, they are covered by their own warranty.

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Either way, if they fail just after 1 year, the warranty doesn't matter. You are covered by the sale of goods act and you can reasonably expect parking sensors to work for longer than 1 year. You have the right to get this sorted by the retailer (dealer) though, not the manufacturer. Up to the dealer to either fix it, replace it, or refund you.

Good luck going back to the UK dealer on this though. Will probably cost you more to get the car over there than to have the car fixed here. But you might as well give the distributor in this country a call to see if they have some goodwill towards you :)

The problem that I have no idea how they were fitted, factory or dealer, Nissan here asking me to tell them this. My Leaf has front and rear parking sensors, rear stop working but front are ok.

I am trying to contact U.K. Dealership to get original configuration and issue some evidence on this.

Nissan Ireland making you guilty for not buying overpriced car from them, told me 10 times during conversation that because it's UK import we can't do this, that aghhh quite mad now ;(

Brought up to them as well rear wheels uneven wear - the adjust the beam and recommend to fit new tyres on all 4 wheels and come back later when the warranty will finish, I point out that the readings they provide me after and before adjustment are the same but the answer - they are within recommended numbers...
