    Hey,
so is that correct that I dont need any landline for Naked Broadband from Virgin? Is it like through satelite or some wireless network? I dont have the landline in my apartment so I am looking for options.

    Thanks.

It comes in through a cable TV connection, so yeah, no landline as such.

Price they advertise is what you pay, no line rental no top of that.

Worth nothing that the broadband and phone package works out the same price for the year and has unlimited calls to mobiles and landlines and international calls included.

Also worth saying that having the TV on it works out €4 a month or €48 for the year more expensive than both options, plus the price doesn't jump after 6 months. That includes the phone pack too.

So when there is no cable coming into my apartment as a landline cable it should be still working, can they connect me? Or is it just that I am not paying for some landline renting.

    Thanks

Have you checked you address on their website? In 99% of cases you'll either have a UPC/VM/NTL/Chorus box on the wall already or you won't be able to subscribe to them. They only cover 800k premises of 2.5mil or so in the country.

Got a virgin red house "ninja" in recently. Pure waste of time. Basically said because I live near other users the speed would come down in the evenings when busier. 8MB/s when paying for 240MB/s. He just did a few speedtests. Ninja me arse.

That's not right at all. 8MB but paying for 240? You shouldn't have been subscribed then.

AFAIK they actually will not allow you to sign up, and I have never seen speeds so slow on their network.

It drops to 8 or less from 7pm onwards. Would be over 100 during the day. Congestion

Yeah but congestion on the Virgin network couldn't possibly be that bad, I find it hard to believe!

not saying I don't believe you, I just find it odd and hard to accept that :D:D

Have you looked around and maybe get landline broadband via Fibre instead?
