Has anyone ever been in a situation where a type 2 to type 1 adapter would have been handy?

    Such as this one:
    http://eauto.si/metron-shop/?product=charging-station-adapter-type-2-type-1

For charging cars with type 1 sockets at charging stations that only have cables with type 2 plugs for charging (charging stations without type 2 sockets).

There is a really small number of situations in Ireland where those adapters can be legitimately used:

    Tesla Destination chargers
You or your buddy's Type 2 tethered

    Nowhere else really.

Rapids are a delicate area. The idea of a 3.3kW Leaf, Outlander or (as I found at Blanchardstown once) a Fluence left there blocking a rapid for a 43kW Zoe or 22kW Zoe/Tesla is horrifying (in the case of the Fluence at blanch it blocked the rapid completely).

I will admit occasionally plugging in while waiting for the DC but if I do it I stay with the car (and would always move if a faster charging car showed up). Even i3s and Ioniqs charge at 7 or 11kW so it's a useful amount.
I was waiting for the Lucan rapid this morning and got enough power while the Leafs ahead of me charged that I was able to skip the DC session and head to my destination.
