I was onto Conns Cameras today a bout getting some prints done.

    They put me onto https://wetransfer.com/
A free site that lets you upload photos, write a message and email them to whoever.
I got an email to say it worked! Not to see if my prints are any good:D

A lot of email servers have a restriction on large file transfer. Unless you jpg the **** out of the files - which will result in unacceptable quality loss that is.
WeTransfer is the way to go. Even the free account allows for huge and efficient data transfer.

Would sharing from the likes of Google Drive or OneDrive not support this too?

E.G. set up a shared folder and email the link to that to the customer to download the file(s). I think it gives you a bit more control.

I could be getting the wrong end though!

Yep, I do this with Google Drive to deliver images to clients. It allows them to download exactly what they need. The whole folder or just a few images. Everything gets zipped up into one file before download, which is essentially all that WeTransfer does.

I also use it as an online contact sheet as you can disable download, but still allow people to view the images.

Plus, if you're just attaching stuff to an email, if it's over the size restriction, gmail will automatically upload them to Google Drive and email the link instead.

I find Wetransfer simple and very effective for sending large amounts of images. Allows up to 2gb of files and works a treat. The options mentioned above also work, so whatever floats your boat I guess. Must check out that gmail option actually.

Sending large files via email is like farting in somebody's kitchen - ask first. They'll probably suggest an alternative. :pac:

I use wetransfer when I need receipt they've downloaded the files. You get a confirmation, which you don't get with google drive/ dropbox
