    Hi Everyone,

I'm wondering if you can help me here. I'm an EU national applying for Irish citizenship and I wonder when should I srart counting the 5 years from my residence - the day I arrived in Ireland? ( unforturnately I don't have my flight details as email was deleted)

Or is it the first documented date - so the first dated document I received in Ireland which is part of my application?

    Many thanks!

It would the date of arrival in the state.

Thank you Fred! Is this true even if I can't prove the exact date I arrived as I don't have my flight ticket and I don't have stamps as I'm part of the EU?
