Postgraduate funding SUSI grant

    Hi,
I aim to attend a full time postgraduate course beginning in October 2018 (MSc Biotechnology). I have completed a one-year long FETAC level 5 course in Applied Biology (2012-2013), and I am currently attending a three-year long level 7 course in Applied Biosciences & Biotechnology, for which I will be awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in September 2017. In September 2017 I will then progress into the final year of the level 8 course "Pharmaceutical Biotechnology", and upon completion of this course I will be awarded with a Bachelor of Science Honours degree.
I am a 23 year old student living out of home independently since 2013, with proof of address in keeping with the documentation types specified on the SUSI website. My yearly income also lies well below the threshold for qualifying for a grant in this instance (<22,000). I am unsure if I will qualify for the partial payment of postgraduate fees as part of a SUSI grant as I will not be taking a three year break in my studies? I have not applied for a grant before and any college fees required have been paid by my parents for the previous three years, does this make me a dependent or independent student?? Any information in advance of applying next year would be great, thanks!
