Side mirror replacement (entire casing/inside)

    Hi All,

Some c*nt smashed my side mirror last night. The actual mirror is intact but the plastic casing and metal part on the inside are smashed. I assume this needs an entire replacement and from reading previous threads it can be anywhere from 200-400E. It's an electric window (non-heated, no indicator light in it).

My question is - if the entire unit including the metal piece needs to be replaced, can this be done in an hour or two? Also, if I go to a main dealer, are they likely to keep replacements at the ready?

    Thanks

Just get a second hand one from a scrapper. I find scrappers using Ebay UK are usually cheaper than Irish scrappers and you know you are buying the same colour too
