Apple store need urgent help

Hey guys so im starting to get really annoyed with apple. It wont let me download any app even free ones on my iphone 6splus. Says there is a billing problem and asks me to verify my debit card details to authorise it. But everytime i put in my debit ccv number it says payment method declined even though the rest of the details are correct. How do i solve this? Its doing my head in..Cant even download app updates as it just comes up billing issue and asks me to enter apple id password. Any help would be appreciated

Is cc out of date?

Does your address and the address of the card match too?

The issue is unlikely to be Apple here as they're one of the biggest holders of credit/debit cards in the world

yes they match , i went into settings , itunes/app store , clicked on my apple id , payment information , put in card details and still payment declined came up in red letter at the top..it worked before for ages , could download apps fine but not anymore

Type 0 in where it asks for postcode , happened to the mrs last week and this worked

I've had an issue with Visa in the past where some sites need the "Mr" included in my name (it appears with Mr on the card) before they accepted the card. Might not be the same solution for you, but just thought I'd share it in case it works.

I think Apple only accept Credit Cards, not Debit Cards. Don't know why.

I only have debit card and they accepted that. Have you registered your phone as Irish when you set it up?

Did you check your bank account?

Could be either a security block on the card or some other reason why it has been declined.

Apple always accepted Visa and MasterCard debit cards.

They won’t accept some prepaid debit cards as they may come up as registered somewhere other than Ireland. Entropay for example, is using Maltese visa debit cards numbers.

What bank issued the card you’re trying to use ?

try setting account payment to none to download a free app and do any updates. Then try re-adding the card.
