    A Mother's heart

    I lie here, but I can't breathe....
and but for the heavy beating of my heart,
I'd swear my soul had finally given up it's battling, had finally left this world

Today, they took away my son, they took away my life
They said those people are better than me, they can raise a christian child,
And who am I, a sinner, a fallen woman, a woman to be scorned?

I, the woman who bore him in my womb
The woman who held him, nursed him and loved him like no one else

To the world, I may be a fallen woman, but to my son, I am his world
They took him, they broke my soul, and I will forever live with darkness
But they can't change reality, I am his mother,

He will always live in my heart......
