I bought a pair of Footjoy Dryjoys off sports direct at the start of the summer and have noticed after playing in the rain 2/3 times this summer they are leaking!

I know footjoy give 2 years warranty on their shoes just wondering has anyone any experience with returning goods with sports direct? There's no phone number on their website or that I can find it just says fill out the returns slip and post them registered post could take up to 30 Days etc..

But I would like to know before hand am I entitled to the warranty? Will they replace them as they have been wore and a few months since purchase etc or do I just have to bite the bullet I paid €120 so not cheap.

    Any help appreciated.

I would imagine it is Footjoy you need to directly get in contact with, allied with your proof of purchase, which you should be able to print off by logging onto your Sportsdirect account and going into the past purchases section.

I purchased Skechers in May fromSports Direct, behind the heel the material started to fray and rub the heels through socks.

I took them back (2 months) and a kid tried to tell me I needed the original box.

I told him I didn't need the original box as it was a fault and not a change of mind.

He kept saying store policy, when I pointed out to him the sign on his cash register which said Store Policy doesn't affect Statutory Rights.

    I got my refund.

Your contract is with where you purchased them. Call Consumer Connect for info https://www.ccpc.ie/consumers/

    I bought them on line.

Most stores will allow you return to store, I'll check for any info one second.

So, if you want an exchange and they have them in store it might be worth a try for an exchange, no guarantees. If a product is faulty they will (usually) refund postage.

    http://ie.sportsdirect.com/customerservices/completedorders/faultyproducts

Then Parcel Connect do returns to Sports Direct for €6.95 which might be cheaper than An Post depending how convenient that is for you.

    Hope that helps.

I was in touch with footjoy and they said there should be no problem as they just send them on to them. Unfortunately I cant send it to them direct! Plus Im not looking for a refund just a replacement pair.

Bring them into sports direct in town Benny.
If they don't have a pair there, they might give you the refund and then you can just buy elsewhere or ever risk again from their website

Ha good idea! tried it you actually get boyers old answering machine select what department etc and then just get cut off.

I may just pop in on my lunch tomorrow and chance it. Might save me waiting 30 days on a replacement pair!

Hey, I bought a pair of footjoys in the US and they started to leak after 10 months, contacted footjoy uk and they told me to take them to a shop. I took them to McGuirks and they exchanged them no problem after FJ confirmed it was a problem on their side

Not sure if it would be the same for you as they have a presence here in Ireland

I had issue with Sports Direct with online order also but with much searching was able to find a number for their Customer Service Team - 0044 344 245 9200

Was not easy to find :)

I emailed them and asked was it possible to return them to a store? she said it was up to the store Manager so I might chance it tomorrow as I forgot them today!
