    any idea how much it might be to replace an alternator on a 2011 1.7 cdti Opel astra?
    missus' car is on the blink

    Car seems very young to have alternator issues, how do you know its alternator ? Have you got a battery light on the dash ?

    car wouldn't start
    AA guy called out said the battery was weak or alternator might be going
    the car was sitting in a drive way for 6 months with no driving until recently

    Get it checked out properly in my experience aa fellas love condemning alternators. Its likely you need a battery or even battery charged up.

    she changed the battery and has driven the car from dublin down the country and few times, no improvement
