I am in the same boat so far found,

Expert.ie- Good price and nice staff who went through every question I had. Good selection.
Currys- Prices were bit high but the staff was ridiculous- had no interest at all in business. Took 3 full mins from start to finish including printing quote. I wont be giving my 4-5 thousand to this crowd for sure.
Harvey Norman-Prices were ok in some things but mostly 30-50 higher than expert. Great staff though. The guy seemed interested in showing all options. Great selection
Sound Store-Prices were same as others in most appliances. Selection was limited.

Power city will give you sale prices even when no sale if you buy a few large items together. I'm not sure if all suppliers do this but thought I'd mention it

I'll be pricing currys harvey Norman expert and power city and maybe did as they are all close to home. But like above I plan on buying a good bit of stuff so will need to price about but I have noticed may of these places carry slightly different stock which means it can be hard to price match

Currys/PC World staff have zero delegation on price - the price is the price.

All they care about is selling extended warranties and anti-virus s/w.

It's a game that they play, especially with TVs. Some of them are big enough that they can get exclusive model numbers so you simply can't compare like for like, hence the completely meaningless 'price match guarantee', an easy claim to make when they know you can't find anyone else selling the same model!
