I thought he died years ago.

But, as said above. People, especially very old people, die.

A lot of comedians took ideas from Jerry's goof-ball style comedy.
As a kid I loved, and still do, his movies, especially when he teamed up with Dean Martin.
Another legend of the movies gone, RIP.

TBH I didn't find him that funny, better than Norma Wisdom which isn't saying much, and that film just sounds like it has no redeeming features.
Go watch Life Is Beautiful instead.

    Funny Bones was awful.

Remember a story where he was going to kill himself. Had the gun in his mouth and heard some kids laughing so didn't. http://people.com/archive/jerry-lewis-comes-back-from-13-years-of-pain-and-drugs-and-a-brush-with-suicide-vol-10-no-24/

It's really strange since only yesterday or the day before I was reading up on that again.

Death has killed more people than all the wars combined yet nobody bats an eyelid.
