Will the dealer not do it seeing as you were supposed to have them fitted when you ordered the car.

    Just read your thread.
    Did you get thelights?
If so, have you managed to fit them?
They really are simple to install. I did it to one of my vRS's
    also did the coding myself.

    Thanks Vectra,

I have the lights, a friend who does auto electrics work is helping me fit at the weekend. Also have the offer of coding from someone. Are you in Dublin by any chance?

Re the dealer, they wont fit as they cant source 'official' parts from skoda.. I know Im a bit of a tool for wanting them but just bugs me that they not there.
    Cheers,
    Mick

    Hi Mick.
Unfortunately i am in Cork..you really dont need any expertise in fitting them.
    Basically plug and code.
    Very cery simole.
The lower half of the dash under the steering wheel had to be removed on mine, possibly the same on your car.
Then you disconnect a plug and add the wire from you footwell lights whhich slips into asoare slot in the plug.
    Add an earth point.
    Reassemble and code.
If you get stuck I would stick a post on autostadt forum.
There will always be offers of assistance tbere.

    Hi folks,

Had the lights fitted and wired at the weekend. Hardest part was getting the bonnet release lever off. Once we had that it was trim removal, and then untangling the lights and running them for optimal wiring etc. Very happy with the fitting. Only thing left now is coding. I did get someone to try coding them Monday but we couldn't find the same options in vcds as outlined in the briskskoda post.

Anyone have experience of coding the lights? I've asked my dealer to see will they code them and he said he will check with the workshop but is doubtful as its aftermarket.

    Thanks,
    Mick

I should be able to code them but I'm in Kildare. Drop me a pm and we should be able to arrange meeting somewhere. Where in Dublin are you ?

    Hi folks,

Sorted today thanks to friendly neighborhood coder in Dublin. Followed instructions from briskskoda. Set the dimwert value to 89. We weren't able to do the long coding section as described in the post, but seems like we don't need to. Setting now available in infotainment. Sliding alters brightness level. Lights come on when doors open, go off on door close, stay on if headlights are 'on'

Super happy now. I know its a stupid small thing but car feels complete to me now...
Dealer was in no way helpful with this.. Disappointing but not unexpected

    Cheers,
    Mick

    Coding:

    First part:
    Controller 09 - Central Electronics
    16 - Security Access - enter 31347
    10 - Adaptations

    Go to
    (8)-Interior light; light configuration-Fussraumbeleuchtung
Change value from ‘not installed’ to ‘installed’
(This puts the footwell light % setting in the infotainment system (under lights))

    Still in Adaptations
    Go to
    (4)-Leuchte30FR LC72-Lichtfunktion A 30
Change this value from ‘not active’ to ‘Footwell light’ from the dropdown menu

    Next
    Go to
    (1)-Leuchte30FR LC72-Lasttyp 30
Change this value from ‘not active’ to ‘18 – 2* 5W’

    Next
    Go to
    (6)-Leuchte30FR LC72-Dimmwert AB 30
Change this value from ‘0’ to ‘89’ or whatever value you want up to 100 I guess (this is where we set the highest brightness level)

If you just go back and make the changes here without exiting i.e. staying in Adaptations, you can do all in one go otherwise you have to go back in.
