Shower pump recommendation

    Hi,

I need to replace my existing pump which is 7 yrs old now. I'm looking at these two, purely because they have the exact same connections (and pump manufacturer) and should be straightforward to replace with existing connections in place. I'll only be running 1 shower off it.

    1) STUART TURNER SHOWERMATE ECO S POSITIVE HEAD SHOWER PUMP 1.5BAR( this is what I have now). I believe they are now quieter.

    2) STUART TURNER MONSOON S POSITIVE HEAD SHOWER PUMP 2.0BAR (brass model)

The main differences are brass vs plastic, 2 vs 1.5 bar , 2vs 5 yrs warranty and 170 euro vs 470 euro.

The cost is significant but I guess the lifetime should be longer. However I'd be happy if i got another 7rs out of the plastic one at 170 euro.

Is there a noise difference? That for me is the main selling point of a pump. Anything else I'm overlooking?

    thanks
    J
