Hourly rates in Dublin

    Hey guys,

What are the current hourly/minimum rates like in Dublin? Also, what shops would you recommend?

I haven't been tattooed in a few years now and am out of the loop, looking at portfolios and such now.

Are there any studios that will give a price per piece? I ask because I have my sleeve all planned out, it'll be made of several small tattoos because I'm very bad at sitting more than two hours.

Minimum rates range form 80 euro per hour to around 140 per hour. Don't let the price of the tattoo determine who you go with, your going to have it on your body for a long time, go with who ever is the best.

Hard to say who is the best without knowing what style your looking for. Some lads who I'd highly recommend for one thing I wouldn't recommend at all for another style. Any examples of what your looking for?

Price per sleeve would be common enough but it would normally be when the sleeve is done in a few long sittings. If your looking at doing it in 2/3 hour blocks your going to pay a bit more. Lot of artists would have a day rate, works out cheaper than per hour, and use it for big pieces. Getting a sleeve done in 2/3 hour blocks is going to take a while too, you would need to be booking in most of the work at once to make sure the artist would be available. I'd say you would be paying the hourly rate for doing it like that rather than a day rate. But best bet would be to ask the artist and see what they say.
