    Hi
We are planning to install an wall insert electric fire in place of the existing fireplace. The existing fireplace had a small electric fireplace inserted in place of what would have been the old fireplace and was in working condition.
We've removed it and stripped the walls , photo attached.
The issue is that the the new electric fireplace we will need a stud built around it above the chimney breast wall which will make the room look quite small IMO.
Our plan was to put an electric fire and build brick slips around it on the wall, photo of an electric fire attached
We have consulted chimney stove fitters and they are yet to survey.
    any suggestion ?
    Thanks, raul

That fire is way too big for that room IMO. It would suit the room to have one same size as one you stripped out but raised like in your idea for new one in the modern style. Only a big room would take a long fireplace like that.

    Hi
Can a fireplace which is slightly bigger frame electric fireplace be placed on an existing fireplace wall.
Who would be the best to approach if we need a false brick overlay designed over the existing wall.

    thanks ,raul
