I tried it this way some time back, due to a mother in law who get's car sick and much prefers the constant speed of motorway driving and lack of turns. I thought it actually worked out better, with 2/3rds of the trip being on the M6 rather than very little motorway on the 'fastest' route, which is 30km shorter. Anyone…
