ACEA C3 instead of A1/B1 or A3/B3?

    Hi,

My oil was a little low today so I popped in to the local motor factors to buy some. I normally pick up 0w30 which is recommended online, but today I accidentally bought 5 litres of 5w30. When I got back, I realised that it is ACEA C3, whereas A1/B1 or A3/B3 is recommended in the manual.

It's due an oil change this week - will this oil be ok to use? It cost €60 (Castrol Edge 5W-30 LL) so I'd be gutted if it's not suitable, but I'd rather lose that money than risk any damage to the engine.

    P.S. The car is a 2006 1.8 Civic.

    Cheers.
