Family holiday suggestions 2018

Hi everyone I'm looking for suggestions about some good places to go with kids for next year. I have a 5 and 3 year old. Looking for the following : decent apartment with two rooms, nice food, kids club and ideally really close to a nice beach. Short flight 2-3 hrs would be nice too. Went to cambrils park resort in July and while it was really nice the fact that it wasn't close to beach was an issue, other than that it was perfect. Suggestions re Portugal, Spain, Italy or France welcome 🙂

No suggestions for you unfortunately as I am in same boat , so following your post for some inspiration..

Just back from Quarteria near Faro. We booked a 2 bed apartment through Airbnb. Was perfect. In a private residential area with a pool. A 10 min walk to the lovely beach. And lovely restaurants. Not in to that kids club thing though. Overrated nonsense in my view.

In the same boat too and was thinking of posting similar!
We went to a 'family' resort this year which cost a lot of money and the place just wasn't for us. So would love to see what people would suggest.

Now looking at Vilamoura for next year possibly but don't have specific accommodation in mind.

Last year we went to Zafiro Tropic in Alcudia, Thought it was amazing, we had a 2 year old. Most likely going back next year.

So they have a big mascot teddy bear, son loved him, kids club was very good, activities throughout day for adults and kids. Night time was a kids disco at 8 and then another show 9-10 that a lot of people stuck around for.

Pools, they had 6 if I recall, One big pool, never any problems getting beds, one kids pool with pirate boat, then 3 other small pools (place isn't massive) but use space well, lastly they have big ball bouncy thing that the kids climb up and slide down beside main pool, hours of entertainment,

Also had 2 playgrounds.

Beach is about a 3 min walk and its one of the most stunning in Europe,

Other travelers, there were a good mix but id say 50 % scandanavian, also the Zaifro brand has 8-10 hotels so if you didn't want to go to alcudia you could check somewhere else but id highly recommend it.

The Sanguli camp site is closer to the beach if you liked the area

Failing that Bella Italia is a great spot

We did Cypsela outside Girona this year, fantastic camp site. Great facilities and a lovely beach 5mins away, free shuttle every hour.
