Fear of coming across clingy

Hi just wondering if anyone has any advice for me. I've started seeing someone that I really like, it's iust been maybe 3 weeks now and he seems to really like me. For some reason I am terrified of being the one to initiate any texting or call at all. Now he has done most of it, but when I know it's probably my turn I just completely get so scared and I don't know why! It ends up me not doing anything and he will eventually text but I'm also scared he will get tired of that! I suppose I'm afraid he'll think I'm getting to like him too much and I feel a bit vulnerable at the moment. What should I do, apart from contacting first, to stop this anxiety that will ruin what we have! I'm overthinking everything and i have no reason to, he has said everything to make me think he wants to keep seeing me. I'm just scared I'll text and he'll think wow clinger.

Just for perspective, what age are ye?

And is text the primary method of contact?

Even if text is the primary method, initiating a conversation once a day is not clingy
    So OP do it

Set your rule as being a text train starter twice a day and no more unless urgent or arranging something and you'll be fine :)
