    Hi,

Not sure if this is the best place for this but if a mod knows somewhere better placed for the thread, feel free to move it.

I'm looking for a building suitable for a retreat within close range to Dublin (ideally 2 hour drive max) that offers the following:
    • Accommodation for 80 people (shared rooms/dorms are fine but would need 15 single rooms also)
    • Catering for three meals a day (nothing special, cafeteria kind food)
    • A large room that will fit the group comfortably
    • Multiple (ideally 7+) rooms for smaller groups

Not looking for a five star hotel but something liveable. We would need to be the sole occupants for the entirety of our stay (excluding staff).

Maximum budget of €13,000 for a five night stay. If anybody has any suggestions please put them below. Thank you! :)

I'd say you'll struggle with that €13,000 budget OP. €32.50 for bed, breakfast, lunch & dinner. €20,000 would be more realistic. Alternatively look at hostels and pay a local establishment to drop off sambos for lunch and a stew / curry type dinner. You can organise cereals and bread for toast yourself.

Yeah this is my worry. The list above is flexible and so is budget if needs be. Willing to look beyond the requirements and budget.

A lot will depend on the standard of accommodation you require. There are hostels and outdoor pursuits centres around, but the accommodation would be fairly basic standard. Would this suit? Your budget seems to envisage something more upmarket.

Accommodation requirements are fairly standard. Standard rooms mainly and some shared showers are fine. No need for en suites, just a bed and a sink. The big thing is needing the accommodation exclusively for our time there.

You would have to find local accomodation in local guesthouses and hotels and they have to travel in to the gyreum each day.

Just to be clear - you're looking for individual rooms for 80 people, not shared rooms or dormitories?

Shared rooms are fine but would need minimum of 15 single rooms also.

What time of year? You might be able to get student accommodation and college facilities outside of academic terms.

Kippure estate and newgrange lodge can probably facilitate you and are on the budget end of the spectrum. Whether they can do it for your budget I don't know.

The Emmaus Centre in Swords might suit.
