New keyboard

Not the most exciting of requests lads.

I need a mechanical keyboard for the office.

I'm looking for something with brown mx ideally I would like a number pad and no LED lights and a UK layout.

The part I'm most struggling with at the moment is no LED's

Any recommendations?

You can turn the backlighting off.

If you don't like black, try Cherry G81 series.

There's a cherry mx board with brown but I can only find a DE layout

Seems like boards without backlights are very hard to find

I have a cooler master keyboard with cherry brown switches and no back lighting. I think it was the xt model, which doesn't seem to be available on amazon anymore. You might find it somewhere. Previously had the tenkeyless one, which had backlighting, but as mentioned above you could turn it off (and vary the brightness), which I presume is the same with most back lit keyboards.

Hope the mods don't mind a little bump. Didn't want to start another new thread.
My G19 died recently (I spilled me cuppa on it). Tried fixing it but the circuit sheet had lots of damaged circuits and I didn't have the patience to get the silver paint and try fix each one.

So, now I am after a new keyboard. I'd like to try a mechanical one but I haven't used one before so I don't want to go mad spending on my first.

No LED, UK layout. I'd have preferred brown switches but at that price, I am willing to try blue.

Have a logitech g610 Orion with brown switches. It has white LEDs but they can be turned off easily from the keyboard. Fits all your requirements I think
