I've been reading about BEV and hybrids for a few months now but I find it difficult to work out the differences between all the hybrids -- could I ask if this is correct

(Starting with ICE, going to full BEV)

    1. Full ICE cars, no motive battery at all (has 12V starter batteries of course)

(I think LPG cars would fit in here but I'm leaving them out of this discussion if you don't mind)

    2. Hybrids - mainly ICE with a small motive battery recharged by?? braking regeneration? the engine? Examples are; Toyota Prius?

    3. Hybrids - mainly ICE with a small motive battery recharged by plugging into a charger. Examples would bre the Mitsuibishi Outlander PHEV and the Volvo V60 PHEV?

    4. Hybrids - mainly a battery for motive power and a small engine to give range extension. Examples being the BMW I3 REx?

    5. Full BEVs ranging from limitied range to larg(er) ranges Examples being...well any BEV out there from Gen 1 leafs to Tesla model 3s?

Have I got any of that info wrong?
Is there another category you'd put in there?

Here is my take on it

    1. Full ICE cars, no motive battery at all (has 12V starter batteries of course)

    2. Hybrids - ICE with a small motive battery, in the region of 1kw, recharged by braking regeneration and/or the engine. Examples are Toyota Prius.

    3. Plug in Hybrids - ICE with a small motive battery, usually in the region of 8kw, recharged by plugging into a charger. Examples would be the Mitsuibishi Outlander PHEV and the BMW 330e.

    4. Range extended EV's - mainly a battery for motive power and a small engine to give range extension and motive battery charging. Examples being the BMW I3 REx.

    5. Full BEV - Battery only. Examples being Nissan Leaf, all Teslas, Hyundai Ioniq EV

Thank you for that, I wasn't too far out in my thinking then.
