    Hi,

I used Dreamweaver years ago circa 2006 ... and Ive used a little Wordpress a few years ago.

Is the new version worth the money?

    Thanks

Adobe has gone to route of software rental, so for occasional website editing use it is expensive.
If you can get an old "buy" copy of Dreamweaver cheap it will still work. But use it for file management, coding and ftp and ignore the design part.

Simple answer is no..you don't need it for coding or ftp, there are plenty of alternatives out there for that.
