Lobbying Local Councillors

I'm interested to hear from anyone has successfully lobbied their local councillors for a change/upgrade, etc.

Our local park is great and has recently had exercise machines added to it, but the lighting is non-existent and there are 5 entrances but only one bin.

I'm going to e-mail my local DCC councillors to begin with. Any tips on how to progress/escalate if need be?

If you don't get a response a petition might be an idea. If they see numbers they'll act.

    Yeah

Try an online petition maybe if initial contact doesnt work

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
