Hi I am currently out sick the last 2 weeks and applied for illness benefit but I got a letter stating I have not got enough contributions to qualify for benefit. Ive been working last 4 years so dont see why I dont qualify. I have no other income this is hardly fair am I entitled to anything as I will be out for the next month or so. Thanks.

Ask DoSP for a printed copy of your contribution record.
If you worked all the time over the last 4 years you should have enough contributions to qualify for IB.
There might be a mistake in your records- or your employer/s has/have not paid in all your contributions.

Get onto your community welfare officer straight away. They will pay you supplemantry welfare. Once you have applied for another payment (which you have) it's very easy to get. Fill out s form(available online) and they'll want bank statements, rent receipts etc but you get paid within 2 or 3 days. I've had to go on it a few times.

Thanks for the replies. Just an update on this. I have 52a paid contributions in the relevant tax year but its blank in the credited contributions. Is this why im not entitled or have they made a mistake?

Do you have 104 total contributions? If so then having 52 'A' stamps in the relevant year would definitely qualify you.
